Sen. Byron Dorgan, D-ND, met with Interior Secretary nominee Ken Salazaar on Tuesday to discuss creating a one-stop shop on the Fort Berthold reservation to make oil production there easier. If they are able to make it work, the project could cut back on a bureaucratic system that requires 49 steps to complete before drilling on the reservation can be developed. Read more about it here.
